Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and proactive Librarian to manage and maintain our library resources. The Librarian will ensure that all library operations run smoothly, assist users in accessing materials, and help foster a reading and learning culture among students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize all library resources so they are easy to locate.
Coordinate and create community programs that promote library awareness.
Evaluate library inventory needs and place orders for books and materials.
Identify technology needs and make recommendations for improvement.
Order, manage, and organize Student IT Cards and Library Cards.
Assist with library management systems and applications.
Help library users locate books, materials, and resources.
Manage book check-outs and returns efficiently.
Maintain library databases and other systems.
Keep the library environment clean, organized, and welcoming.
Follow up with students regarding overdue books.
Maintain records of library staff and student information for administrative purposes.
Enforce library policies related to borrowing, fines, and renewals.
Generate reports as needed for school administration.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Management, Education, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in library management or academic library operations.
Basic knowledge of library management systems and databases.
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Skills:

Strong library organization and cataloging skills.
Proficiency in library management software and database handling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate community or student programs.
