Roles and responsibilities of this job

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal, financial, and/or strategic advice during and outside of Board and General Meetings.
Handle regulatory relations, legal documentation, and due diligence.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the legal department including but not limited to seeking and providing guidance on legal matters such as workplace policies, contract negotiations, and litigation.
Report to the Chairman and Managing Director and often liaise with board members.
Prepare agendas and papers for board meetings, committees, and annual general meetings (AGMs) and follow up on action points.
Maintain files and records related to the organization's legal proceedings and contract.
Provide legal advice using oral or written platforms, Legal Officer will be expected to brief a team of staff members on legal issues, potential liabilities, and possible courses of action.
Supporting HR Department and Accounts Department by providing legal guidance as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years or more of working experience in public company's operations and policies.
Master’s in Law (LLM) from a recognized university.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and governance principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English and Nepali in both speaking and writing.
Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
