  • Strong knowledge of labor law, corporate governance, contract law, industrial dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in handling high-value legal cases and negotiations.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing a legal team.

Job Description

1. Legal Advisory & Compliance:

  • Advise management on corporate, commercial, labor, and industrial laws applicable to the Group’s businesses.
  • Ensure compliance with Nepalese legal requirements, industry regulations, and internal policies.
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, contracts, MoUs, and agreements to safeguard company interests.

2. Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

  • Represent the company in courts, tribunals, and arbitration proceedings as needed.
  • Liaise with external legal counsels for case strategies and updates.
  • Proactively manage disputes to minimize legal risks and financial exposure.

3. Risk Management & Policy Development:

  • Identify potential legal risks and recommend preventive measures.
  • Develop and update company legal policies, manuals, and SOPs.
  • Conduct legal due diligence for business expansion, mergers, and acquisitions.

4. Leadership & Team Management:

  • Supervise and guide a team of 4 Legal Officers, ensuring their productivity and professional development.
  • Allocate cases, review their work, and ensure the timely resolution of legal matters.
  • Foster a proactive, solutions-oriented legal team culture.

5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement, Sales, and other departments on legal matters.
  • Maintain professional relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and legal associations.
