Job Description

A Lead Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, stimulating, and educational environment for young children. They have an important role in promoting children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development during their formative years.

They will be responsible for contributing to the school's positive environment, taking initiatives for student/school development while coming up with creativity and solutions, meeting parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and determining children’s priorities and resource needs.

Some of the major deliverables of Lead Teacher are:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Monitor and document children’s progress, including developmental milestones.
Identify and address individual needs, including potential learning or behavioral challenges.
Provide feedback to parents/guardians on their child’s progress and development.
Knowledge of early childhood education programs and techniques, as well as child development theory and practice.
Use play-based and inquiry-based learning methods to foster creativity and exploration.
Ability to evaluate, design, and implement curriculum, testing, and/or teaching methodologies.
Ability to provide activities for children that encourage healthy growth.
Ability to exercise control and maintain classroom discipline.
Knowledge of applicable safety procedures.
Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
