Roles and responsibilities of this job

Naya Paila Nepal is seeking a qualified, passionate, and experienced Lawyer to provide legal support and representation for victims of human trafficking and child sexual abuse. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening victim protection, supporting case development, and contributing to advocacy and prevention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal counseling, guidance, and support to survivors of sex trafficking and child sexual abuse.
Assist in case development, evidence review, legal documentation, and court-related processes.
Represent and advocate for the best interests of victims within the legal system.
Attend coordination meetings with government agencies, law enforcement, and stakeholders, providing professional legal input and recommendations.
Offer legal guidance and support to Naya Paila Nepal on organizational matters related to child protection, anti-human trafficking, and victim rights.
Facilitate and participate in anti-human trafficking awareness, prevention, and community outreach programs.
Support advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening protection mechanisms for vulnerable children and trafficking survivors.
Maintain effective collaboration with government and non-government stakeholders working in child protection and anti-human trafficking sectors.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) and valid license to practice law in Nepal.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in legal practice related to human trafficking, child sexual abuse, child protection, or gender-based violence cases.
Strong knowledge of Nepal's legal framework concerning human trafficking, child rights, and victim protection.
Demonstrated experience in victim-centered legal counseling and case management.
Excellent communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies, government bodies, and civil society organizations.
Established professional relationships with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Nepal Police, and other relevant stakeholders will be considered a strong advantage.
Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical legal practice.
