Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring it runs efficiently and safely.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals and materials.
Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
Oversee inventory management, ordering new supplies, and tracking usage.
Coordinate with faculty to ensure laboratory needs are met for academic programs.
Train and support lab staff and students on lab procedures, safety measures, and equipment use.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of lab facilities and equipment.
Assist in the preparation of lab reports, experiments, and demonstrations for educational purposes.
Ensure that the lab is well-maintained and organized at all times.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory management or similar role.
Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
Ability to manage and maintain laboratory inventory, ensuring supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in lab processes.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and external vendors.
Proficiency in laboratory management software (if applicable).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot lab-related issues.
