Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Junior Engineer will assist in the planning, supervision, and implementation of infrastructure-related activities such as construction of water supply systems, latrines, health posts, and other facilities. The role requires on-site presence, coordination with contractors and communities, and ensuring construction quality according to technical standards and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support

Assist in surveying, site assessments, and preparing layout plans.
Support in preparing and reviewing BoQs, drawings, and materials lists.
Provide day-to-day technical supervision of construction activities on-site.

Supervision and Monitoring

Monitor contractors and laborers to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety protocols.
Regularly inspect construction progress and quality; report any deviations or issues.
Verify quantities of materials used and maintain site records.

Community Coordination

Coordinate with local stakeholders and community members for the smooth implementation of works.
Ensure that local contributions (e.g., labor or materials) are properly utilized as agreed.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain daily field logs, attendance of workers, and progress reports.
Submit regular updates and photo documentation to the technical team.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum 3 years of field experience in construction supervision.
Basic knowledge of engineering software (AutoCAD, MS Excel, etc.).
Willingness to work in remote project areas under challenging conditions.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to ride a motorbike and valid license (preferred).
