Job Description

The Junior Engineer will assist in the planning, supervision, and implementation of infrastructure-related activities such as construction of water supply systems, latrines, health posts, and other facilities. The role requires on-site presence, coordination with contractors and communities, and ensuring construction quality according to technical standards and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support

  • Assist in surveying, site assessments, and preparing layout plans.
  • Support in preparing and reviewing BoQs, drawings, and materials lists.
  • Provide day-to-day technical supervision of construction activities on-site.

Supervision and Monitoring

  • Monitor contractors and laborers to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety protocols.
  •  Regularly inspect construction progress and quality; report any deviations or issues.
  •  Verify quantities of materials used and maintain site records.

Community Coordination

  • Coordinate with local stakeholders and community members for the smooth implementation of works.
  • Ensure that local contributions (e.g., labor or materials) are properly utilized as agreed.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain daily field logs, attendance of workers, and progress reports.
  • Submit regular updates and photo documentation to the technical team.
