  • Diploma in Agriculture or a related field.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience working in rural communities and implementing agricultural projects.
  • Proficiency in Tamang language is preferable for effective communication with the local community.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs for both agricultural and non-agricultural topics.

Job Description

  • Act as a social mobilizer within the community, fostering positive relationships and collaboration between the project and local residents.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the smooth implementation of agricultural and other activities, aligning with project goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong reporting capacities by maintaining accurate records of field activities, progress, challenges, and training outcomes, and submit regular reports to the Project Manager.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions, both agricultural and non-agricultural, as per the necessity of the project. This includes orientations, workshops, and skill-building sessions for community members.
  • Provide practical assistance to farmers, assisting them in implementing best agricultural practices and addressing challenges they may encounter.
  • The Junior Technician Assistant is expected to reside in Bethanchok, Kavre throughout the project duration to ensure constant engagement with the community.
