Job Description

Department: Finance
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Summary: The Junior Reporting Officer will assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting data-driven decision-making. This role requires basic analytical skills, proficiency in financial reporting software, and the ability to communicate financial data effectively to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Assist Finance Head in compiling and presenting financial reports to the CFO on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Support Finance Head to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
Assist Finance Head to provide preliminary variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial performance.

Compliance Reporting:

Monitor financial transactions and activities to ensure adherence to internal financial bylaws and regulatory guidelines.
Identify and report any instances of non-compliance with financial bylaws to senior management.
Maintain records of compliance breaches and assist in implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks.

Data Management & Forecasting:

Maintain financial databases and reporting systems under supervision.
Assist Finance Head in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Identify basic financial trends and report key findings to Finance Head.

KPI Monitoring & Dashboard Reporting:

Support the development and maintenance of key financial performance indicators (KPIs) dashboards.
Assist in compiling financial data for review by senior management.

Vendor Payment Tracking:

Monitor vendor payments to ensure timely disbursements and compliance with contract terms.
Maintain records of vendor transactions and report any discrepancies or payment delays.
Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to facilitate vendor payment processes.

Marketing Expenditure Tracking:

Track and analyze marketing expenses against budget allocations.
Assist Finance Head in generating reports on marketing expenditures and trends.
Support the marketing team and Finance Head in financial tracking of promotional and other marketing activities.

Stock Requirement Analysis & Purchases Tracking:

Assist in analyzing stock levels, tracking purchases, and forecasting demand to support inventory management.
Work closely with the procurement team and Finance Head to provide stock level analysis and expenditure tracking.

Periodic Sales Review:

Assist Finance Head and Sales Head in compiling sales data and preparing structured financial reports.
Generate periodic reports summarizing key sales figures and revenue performance.
Work closely with the sales team to collect financial data.

Liaison & Coordination:

Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improving financial reporting processes under supervision.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting through automation and best practices.
