Job Description

  • Conduct regular inspections of finishing works, including plastering, brickwork, flooring, painting, and other interior and exterior finishes.
  • Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and the client’s contractual requirements during the finishing stages.
  • Perform on-site layout checks, ensuring correct placement and alignment of finishing features such as door frames, windows, tiling patterns, and floor finishes.
  • Monitor work progress to ensure it aligns with the construction schedule and adjust resources as necessary to keep the work on track.
  • Assist senior engineers in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports related to finishing work.
  • Identify defects or deviations from quality standards and documentation including photographs and promptly report them to senior engineers for corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings, change orders, costing for revision in coordination with architect & engineers and documentation for project.
  • Verify that all approvals, inspections, and tests are conducted as per the project’s quality assurance plan.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve processes and work quality on-site, contributing to team discussions and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and others to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues on-site and communicate any challenges to senior engineers and project managers.
  • Ensure that safety protocols and environmental regulations are followed at all times on the construction site.
  • Participate in site meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and addressing concerns.
  • Conduct material testing, survey work, and other site-related tasks as needed.
  • Monitor and inspect construction equipment and machinery to ensure it is in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a site engineering role.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of construction software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.) is a plus.
