Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Junior Accountant will support daily bookkeeping, documentation, tax compliance, and accounting preparation activities for a trading and import organization. This is an entry to a mid-level accounting role with training and supervision provided.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Daily Bookkeeping & Documentation

Enter sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries in Tally.
Maintain proper filing of bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Assist in maintaining stock and inventory records.
Support store-to-accounts coordination.

B. VAT / TDS Support

Prepare purchase/sales summary for VAT.
Compute basic TDS on payments (guidelines will be provided).
Assist in monthly VAT/TDS return preparation.
Maintain digital and physical compliance files.

C. Bank & Ledger Support

Prepare bank reconciliation drafts.
Maintain lists of debtors/creditors and advance accounts.
Assist in updating loan information and interest schedules (as guided).

D. Monthly Closing Assistance

Prepare month-end checklists.
Help prepare schedules required for financial reporting and audit.
Work with the supervisor to ensure ledgers are accurate and up to date.

E. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with stores, vendors, and internal teams for data.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and follow instructions.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and business information.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:Equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Required Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s level (BBS/BBA/BCom/Finance). Completed or final year accepted.
Practical or training-level exposure to Tally (basic knowledge required).
Basic understanding of VAT/TDS rules.
Comfortable in Excel (vlookup/xlookup optional but preferred).
0–2 years of experience.

Strong willingness to learn under supervision.
Stable personality; low ego and good follow-up habits.
Able to work calmly in a multi-owner environment.
Respectful, honest, and committed to confidentiality.

Working Hours & Compensation:

Full-time, 6 days a week.
Salary range: NPR 20,000–25,000 (based on capability).
Performance review after 2–3 months.
