Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Mid Level Junior Accountant/Cashier will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and facilitating smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily records of financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Handle petty cash disbursements and reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage post-dated cheque (PDC) transactions, recording details accurately and monitoring their clearance status.
  • Maintain records of contractor agreements, payments, and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Record and analyze utility expenses, including electricity, water, and other utilities, to facilitate cost management and budgeting.
  • Prepare and maintain labor wages sheets, documenting hours worked, rates, deductions, and other relevant details.
  • Facilitate cash disbursements for various expenses, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain detailed records of bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Maintain a log of cancelled cheques, tracking their issuance and ensuring proper record-keeping.
  • Assist in drafting and preparing financial letters, correspondence, and reports as needed.
  • Input contractor bills and invoices into the accounting software (e.g., Tally), ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Record and classify financial transactions, including salary, wages, rent, and utility expenses, in the accounting software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally).
  • Excellent Fluency on Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel Preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred.
  • Two Wheeler with Driving License Is compulsory.
  • Office Timing: 9:30 am – 6:30 pm
