Job Title: Jr. Mechanical Engineer
Designation: Jr. Mechanical Engineer
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Birtamode Jhapa, Nepal
Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

Position Overview

Jr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and repairing manufacturing mechanical equipment by researching, developing, and testing specifications and methods. S/he is responsible for the installation and fabrication of the equipment. S/he should have the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, both visually and verbally.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.  
  • Analyzes problems or deficiencies and develops solutions by designing testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. 
  • Management of manpower, time, and materials for specific work. 
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Design testing procedures and control equipment to accurately assess products and identify areas that require modification and further testing. 
  • Provides technical advice and solves problems on site. 
  • Collaborating with project managers and other engineers within the team.
  • Assist the manager in repairing and maintaining the equipment.
  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Task Related

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of proven work experience.
  • Prior industrial MEP supervision is a plus.

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Ability to provide quick solutions 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team worker
