Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a Node.js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities:

Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Implementation of security and data protection
Integration of data storage solutions like MongoDB, MySQL etc
Work as part of team developing applications and services using Agile development methods
Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure
Integrate the user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
Maintain the system after launch by making sure the system remains optimized and updated
Contribute to all aspects of the software creation process
Enthusiastically pursue additional training and understanding of new technologies that may be relevant to the Digital Platforms team. Advise management on strategies for use of new technologies.

Skills & Qualification:

Previous working experience as a Node.js Developer for 1+ years
Strong proficiency with Javascript
In depth knowledge of NodeJS and ExpressJS
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
Good understanding of server-side templating languages
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers and environments
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Proficient understanding of ode versioning tools, such as Git
Must possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills which will be used to diagnose, debug and solve issues in current production platforms
