  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Capacity to work well in groups.
  • Experience with Linux system (RedHat preferred) and Windows Server Operating System.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail.
  • Should be familiar with any Virtualization Platform (AWS preferred).
  • Should have sound knowledge of a scripting language (Python preferred).
  • Should have knowledge of at least one Automation Tool (Terraform preferred).
  • Must be able to work in flexible time slots (Including Night Shift from 10PM to 7AM).
  • Experience with troubleshooting very complex distributed environments related to network, system performance and monitoring tools, and provide advice to an entity that will allow for a successful and stable Infrastructure environment.
  • RHCE Certification is a Plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of SIEM is a plus.

Job Description

Cedar Gate Services is looking for an IT (Information Technology) Engineer to join our Infrastructure team.

Job Summary:

The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the company’s computer network, monitoring one or more system(s), and supporting the software and hardware requirements. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The IT Engineer will work as part of the infrastructure team and report to the IT Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor the cloud infrastructure and solve any issues.
  • Research, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of a problem and communicate it with stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor and implement patch to vulnerable infrastructure based on security guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud operation tools.
  • Produce and maintain technical documents.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems audit and implementing organization-defined policies and procedures within the infrastructure.
