Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Install software packages in Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Maintain, monitor, and support the infrastructure environment and/or facilities
Follow the defined procedures to monitor systems and resolve problems
May have to support one or more systems or applications of low to medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility (complexity is defined by the size, the technology used, and the system feeds and interfaces)
Monitor system’s operating capacity in terms of disk space, storage, and CPU utilization
Monitor hardware/software activities and resource utilization for capacity planning
Identify problems and optimize performance as needed
Produce technical documents
Communicate with the subject experts as required
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying system flow, data usage, and work processes.

The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the company’s computer network, monitoring one or more system(s), and supporting the software and hardware requirements. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The IT Engineer will work as part of the IT team and report to the IT Manager.

Job Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related/equivalent field
Knowledge of Linux system (Red Hat, Ubuntu)
Sound knowledge of Networking, Cisco, and Routing Protocols
Should be familiar with Virtualization Platform
Should have sound knowledge in any scripting language
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work in flexible time slots
Should be reachable by phone 24 x 7
Knowledge of Python Programming language is a plus
RHCE, CCNA, Amazon Certified Solution Architect is a plus
Knowledge and experience of SIEM is a plus
