Job Description

Overview: 

As an IT Assistant, you will be a vital part of our organisation's medical information technology team, contributing to the efficient and effective functioning of our digital infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and provide essential support to end-users.

Report To: Sunil Manandhar (Systems Administrator)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to and resolving all IT-related issues promptly. This includes servers, networks, databases, and other hardware and software components used for patient care, administration, and communication purposes.
  • Providing dedicated support for the utilisation of MIDAS, troubleshooting technical issues, and bridging the gap between the software and medical professionals to optimise the operational efficiency of the hospital's digital medical information systems.
  • Designing and managing the hospital website, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface, while also implementing regular updates and conveying accurate and timely information.
  • Collaborating with the creative team to provide IT support and assistance in implementing designs for social media platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal visual presentation.
  • Implementing and enforcing data security policies and procedures to protect sensitive patient information from unauthorized access, theft, or disclosure.
  • Ensuring that the hospital is up to date with emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT and appropriately flagging these to the management.
  • Actively foster a culture of IT awareness and proficiency among staff members.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and service providers to ensure the hospital's IT systems are up-to-date and functioning properly.
  • Ensuring the security and confidentiality of hospital intellectual property within the IT infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or theft.
