Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Analyze corporate news, public documents, policies and circulars issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, Insurance Board, Securities Board of Nepal and other regulatory bodies on a daily basis to keep oneself updated about the happenings in the market;
Develop business relationship with the market participants to identify the opportunities and risks presented by the market.
Follow the international and national market to formulate research and evaluation methodologies that assist in the analysis of stock(s) in the respective sectors and the reasons behind it.
Assess the suitability of stocks for inclusion in the portfolio of the Company and clients on the basis of fundamental and technical analysis of the companies;
Identify potential investments in line with KCL’s vision and investment policies.
Prepare Investment project reports for presentation to the management and finally to the Board of Directors.
Ensure that the Immediate Sub-ordinate completes his/her responsibilities in timely manner.
Review all performance of investment portfolio and prepare required report for management in accordance to company policies.
Provide an interface with Investment Committee and recommend new and changes to existing investment policies and submit it for approval.
Develop and maintain knowledge on all market securities plans and manage all portfolio products.
Prepare and submit all Investment reports to management and Board as per requirement.
Ensure proper portfolio accounting and prepare portfolio performance reporting to ensure timely recording, accurate reporting and adherence to deadlines of all the clients;
Prepare monthly Revenue Generation Report of the department;
Coordinate with Brokers, Custodians and Bankers;
Assist in performing periodic Portfolio Evaluation of PMS Clients
Keep her/himself updated with trends in the industry and frequently provide constructive suggestions to immediate supervisor to improve company's image;
Attend the Meetings called on by the Supervisor and/or Senior Officials;
Any other work assigned by Portfolio Manager and/or Senior Officials;
General
Maintain professional reputation of Kathmandu Capital Limited at all times.
Maintain integrity of the Investment Profession and Capital Market.
Undertake any other duties & responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
Support Business Generation.

Job Purpose

Prepares investigative reports on securities or assets for in-house, provides investment information and financial advice; works with corporate and individual clients: maintains knowledge of a wide range of investment and financial products, including stocks, bonds and shares; ensures that all the financial transactions initiated by front-end teams are logged and processed accurately and within prescribed timelines; involves in developing automated systems for fast and accurate transaction processing, reviewing the entire process and initiating process improvements, as well as ensuring that each transaction is cleared, settled and reconciled according to regulatory and internal control requirements.

Head – Investment and Research Department will look after all the functions of Investment and Research Department and mobilize the team under him/her to execute the assigned task effectively, efficiently and accurately.

MBA (Finance)- completed / Semi Qualified CA
At least 2 years of experience as a Investment Officer or similar position in reputed organization
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Dealing capacity with different nature of Client(s).
Ability to work under stress and rush circumstances.
Leadership and Team Work.
Sound knowledge of Investment and Financial Markets.
Sound knowledge of Fundamental and Technical Analysis.
Punctual and Motivated.
