The Policy Research Institute (PRI) is a think tank of the government of Nepal formed pursuant to the Policy Research Institute Board (formation) Ordinance 2018 (2075) by exercising the power conferred by Article 3 of Development Board Act 1956. The objectives of the PRI are to review public policies, programs and strategies through rigorous research and analysis and provide the policy recommendations to the government of Nepal, to carry out studies in various public sectors to generate policy relevant knowledge, and to serve as an interface of knowledge and policy making in the spirit of the Article 51 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Policy Research Institute is a policy think tank of the government of Nepal. It's office is located at Narayanhiti Palace. It is seeking following interns [Total 8] to learn and provide research assistance to various policy research projects and functions of the following Departments and Centers of the institute.

  1. Information and Knowledge Management Department
  2. Research Department 
  3. Center for Economic and Infrastructure Development Policy
  4. Center for Governance and Federal Affairs Policy 
  5. Center for Legal and Social Affairs Policy
  6. Center for Foreign Policy and Strategic Affairs
  7. Center for Natural Resources and Technology Policy

Job Description

  • Collection of primary and secondary data (literature, quantitative, qualitative), 
  • Statistical analysis, 
  • Analysis of QUALITATIVE data, 
  • Transcription of audio record, 
  • Report writing
  • Assistance in policy dialogue
  • Networking with institutions and experts

DURATION: 6 months (may extend another 3 months)
