Vacancy Announcement: In charge-Trading and Transactions

Himalayan Securities Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Himalayan Bank Limited and a Full-Service Brokerage Firm, is seeking applications from dynamic, and self-motivated individuals for the role of Incharge, Trading and Transactions.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Execute buy and sell orders on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Assess and manage trading risks, implement control measures, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators, and news to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Communicate with clients, address inquiries, and execute trades based on client instructions.
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, trade confirmations, and settlement instructions.
  • Oversee trading platforms, stay updated on technological advancements, and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor and manage liquidity of traded instruments, implementing strategies for optimization.
  • Work closely with risk management, compliance, and operations for seamless coordination.
  • Analyze trade and transaction performance, identify areas for improvement, and evaluate trading strategies.
  • Provide guidance to junior traders, stay informed about industry best practices, and share knowledge with the team.

 Core Activities

  • Proper management of trading and transaction desk of the unit.
  • Execute buy and sell orders on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate transactions in financial markets.
  • Assess and manage trading risks, implement control measures, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations to safeguard the financial health of the firm.

 Education and Preferred Experience Requirements

  • Strong fundamental and technical analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of capital market dynamics.
  • General understanding of programming languages and computer systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound regulatory and legal knowledge.
  • Strong integrity, innovation, and intuitive skills.
  • Team Player, Result Oriented, and self-driven with a positive outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management/Finance/Business/Accounts/Related Subject. Professional degrees such as CA/CFA/ACCA/CMA would be an added advantage
  • Preferred Experience
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar function.

Salary and Benefits 

The Annual Cost to Company (ACTC) for this position will range between NPR 610,000 and NPR 1,209,000. A successful candidate’s pay may fall within this range, actual pay will be based on the candidates’ qualifications, specific skills, and experience. The Benefits associated with the position are as below:

  • Allowances: General Allowance, Communication Allowance, Fuel Allowance, Festive Allowance and Force Leave Allowance.
  • Insurance: Medical and Accidental Insurance, Life Insurance under Endowment Scheme and Critical Illness Coverage.
  • Others: Leaves, Retirement Benefits and Bonuses as per Labor Act.
