Himalayan Securities Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Himalayan Bank Limited and a Full-Service Brokerage Firm, is seeking applications from dynamic, and self-motivated individuals for the role of Incharge-Information Technology.

 Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute the firm's IT strategy and roadmap, aligning it with overall business objectives and future growth plans.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the firm's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of new IT software, systems, and applications, fostering innovation and technological advancement within the firm.
  • Design, implement, and optimize the firm's computer networks, including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), to support seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and ensure the optimal configuration, performance, and security of servers, including file servers, email servers, and critical infrastructure components.
  • Spearhead the implementation and continuous monitoring of advanced security measures to safeguard the firm's data and systems from evolving cyber threats, conducting regular security audits.
  • Provide expert technical support to end-users, promptly addressing and resolving hardware and software issues, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to guarantee the reliability and peak performance of IT systems.
  • Establish and maintain robust backup procedures for critical data, along with regularly testing and refining disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing updates of software applications, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to assess evolving IT needs, plan for future growth, and recommend strategic technological solutions aligned with firmal objectives.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures, facilitating efficient troubleshooting, training, and auditing processes.
  • Monitor IT system performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks or issues, and implementing solutions to optimize overall performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance of IT systems and practices with industry regulations, data protection laws, and cyber security standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with technology vendors, procure necessary hardware, software, and services, and effectively manage vendor relationships while negotiating contracts.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees on IT best practices, security protocols, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance overall digital literacy.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive incident response plans to address and promptly resolve IT-related incidents, minimizing potential disruptions to business operations.

Education and Preferred Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology/Related Subject. Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience.

 Salary and Benefits

The Annual Cost to Company (ACTC) for this position will range between NPR 610,000 and NPR 1,209,000. A successful candidate’s pay may fall within this range, actual pay will be based on the candidates’ qualifications, specific skills, and experience. The Benefits associated with the position are as below:

  • Allowances: General Allowance, Communication Allowance, Fuel Allowance, Festive Allowance and Force Leave Allowance.
  • Insurance: Medical and Accidental Insurance, Life Insurance under Endowment Scheme and Critical Illness Coverage.
  • Others: Leaves, Retirement Benefits and Bonuses as per Labor Act.
