Under supervision of the Hygiene Coordinator the Hygiene promoter is responsible to:

• Conduct KAP and KPC surveys
• Compile the data received from the questionnaire campaign
• Conduct school visits to promote good hygiene practices
• Develop, under the supervision of a Hygiene Coordinator, creative methods of communication and teaching adapted to target populations
• Prepare theatre performances
• Train beneficiaries (students, school environment committees and the water committees) in effective hygiene education techniques
• Organise and conduct competitions between schools to promote good hygiene practices
• Liase with local authorities
• Liase with teachers to coordinate the hygiene education campaign with them
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator and the hygiene coordinator for the distribution of hygiene kits and booklet
• Coordinate with the community mobilizers for the creation of school environment committees and the water committees
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities and materials used
• Ensure effective integration and mainstreaming of gender into all programs
• The Hygiene Promoter is responsible for all above responsibilities in front of Hygiene Coordinator and Project Coordinator and will report to them regularly
