KOSHISH is a non-governmental self-help organization registered in District Administration Office, Kathmandu in 2008 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council. KOSHISH is a right-based organization working extensively in advocacy in and multi-disciplinary and holistic mental health and psychosocial support in Nepal. In addition, KOSHISH is also working in system strengthening and creating a model that the government and other stakeholders may able to replicate.

Job Summary: 

Main purpose of this job is to lead Human Resource Department at the organization. The position is responsible for overall managing staff, new recruitment, staff placement, staff development, retention, overall data keeping and coordinating on the overall performance appraisal of the staffs across the organization at all the levels within KOSHISH


Job Description

  • Draft and update job descriptions for vacant position within the organization
  • Revise and update the job description as per the requirement
  • Keeping the staff data of all kinds for the official purpose for assisting the staff management and decision making process and update it periodically
  • Assist the organization on recruiting, mentoring, placement, reviewing, promotion and termination of the staffs based on policies and competency-based evaluation
  • Preparing the annual staff development calendar including the training and capacity building plan
  • Orient all the KOSHISH's staffs on existing organizational policies and procedures on systems and processes
  • Anchoring the staff review systems and do keep the track of it on the regular basis
  • Handle complaints of employee and present to supervisor whenever necessary. 
  • Anchoring the internship programme in KOSHISH
  • Responsible to be the communication bridge of KOSHISH to any other organizations and universities and research institutions on human resource related activities 
  • Organize official induction in the beginning and exit interview during the termination
  • Establish cordial and effective relationship among all the staffs and resolve the conflict amicably
  • Maintain individual staff and consultant profile in systematic way.
  • Monitor staff attendance in regular basis and provide needful information to admin and finance unit for payroll processing. 
  • Maintain leave record of all employees. 
  • Ensure staff compliance with existing policies including Human Resource Management Guideline
  • Organize organizational employee skill development programs
  • Organize the annual organizational events for planning, review, reflection and training events
  • Coordinating and assisting in the consultant hiring process and finalization of the MOU with the standard terms and conditions in line with policies
  • Any other tasks as specified by the organization time to time

Expected start Date: 1st January 2022
