We are looking for a Human Resource and Operation Manager to join our team.
You’ll be responsible for designing, developing and implementing strategies to attract, engage and develop talent and build a high-performance team and culture. You will also be responsible for conducting operational activities impacting human resources.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and be the company's point of contact for talent management and culture building.
What will you be responsible for?
- Facilitate the recruitment process in an effective, timely, and fair manner to select qualified candidates (including reviewing job descriptions, advertising vacancies on different channels, screening, shortlisting, interviewing using competency-based behavioural and situational interviewing techniques, checking references, proposing job offers, and preparing employment documents).
- Conduct an onboarding process for new hires and ensure all new hires have a good understanding of core values, company policies, procedures, strategies, and operations to perform the job.
- Facilitate exit/separation process in compliance with policies, procedures, and labour law.
- Handle staff grievance and disciplinary action processes following Nepal Labor law and HR policies of Codewing on employee relations.
- Track legal changes regularly, including labour law and related laws (taxation, insurance, SSF), to propose an appropriate revision to the HR policy.
- Prepare an employee handbook, policy book, contracts, retention strategy and other required HR documents.
- Conduct annual performance reviews to equip the whole team with relevant skills, inspire high performance, and support career development.
- Administer payroll using HR software.
- Conduct staff engagement activities and create a conducive work environment where employees enjoy working.
- Create effective processes and documents related to talent management
How qualified you should be?
- A minimum Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience is required.
- Should have great attention to details
- Should be proactive
- Should have a strong understanding of Nepalese Labor law and compliance
- Diplomacy, tact, and people skills
- Patience, self-motivated and strong work ethics
- Strong negotiation, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Must be fluent in English and Nepali
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Leadership skills, a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude
- Knowledge of HR Software
- Should keep oneself updated with best HR practices
