Sterling Wells Nepal is the operational hub of a UK-based group of chartered certified accountancy firms and fintech companies, including UK Property Accountants, Sterling & Wells, Crane & Partners, FigsFlow, RentalBux, and Taxule. We support thousands of clients across 50+ countries and oversee accounting for $8B+ in assets.

We are looking for an HR Operations Manager to build the systems, frameworks, and processes that will underpin our people function as we scale internationally. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO and VPs.

What you’ll own

HRIS implementation, including evaluating, selecting, and deploying a modern HR information system that becomes the single source of truth for people data across Nepal, India, UK & US operations.
Performance management framework design, including KPI structures, performance review cycles, 360-degree feedback systems, and manager calibration processes.
Grading and compensation architecture, including role grading frameworks, promotion criteria, salary bands, and transparent career progression pathways.
HR process automation across recruitment pipelines, onboarding workflows, leave management, exit processes, and compliance tracking.
People analytics and reporting, including dashboards for headcount, attrition, engagement, cost-per-hire, and workforce planning metrics.
Policy design and compliance, including drafting and maintaining HR policies aligned with Nepal labour law and adapting frameworks for India, UK & US offices.
Payroll and benefits coordination with the finance team to ensure payroll, insurance, and benefits are accurate, timely, and scalable.

You will work alongside a Talent & Culture Manager who owns recruitment, employee engagement, and employer branding, so you can focus on building systems, structure, and operational excellence.

What we need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in HR operations, HRIS management, or HR process design.
Hands-on experience implementing or administering an HRIS platform end-to-end, not just using one as an end user.
Strong process-design mindset; you think in workflows, SOPs, and automation before manual intervention.
Experience building performance management systems, grading structures, or compensation frameworks.
Comfort working with data, including reports, dashboards, and HR analytics.
Solid understanding of Nepal labour law and statutory HR compliance.
Good written and spoken English, with strong documentation ability.
Experience in professional services, fintech, BPO, IT, or technology companies preferred.
Comfort with technology and AI-powered tools; we are an AI-native firm and expect team members to leverage modern systems effectively.

Nice to have

Experience with HRIS platforms.
Familiarity with project management tools used to track HR rollouts.
Experience supporting multi-country or multi-entity HR operations.
Knowledge of ISO or quality management frameworks applied to HR.
Background in management consulting, process improvement, or operations.
