Doko Recyclers (DR), a social enterprise, is the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in Kathmandu Valley and outside. DR serves customers in residential, commercial, industrial and municipal markets throughout the valley.

We implement methods to help you segregate waste at its source into different categories before it enters our waste stream. Once it enters our waste stream we continue to separate your waste into different recyclable categories ensuring that the right materials get to the right industries. These industries then extract and reuse existing resources from the waste you give us to create new goods. Our shredding, e-waste, and composting services in addition to our waste pick ups, awareness training workshops, and waste segregation infrastructure setup all allow you to do this instinctively in your own homes and office spaces.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR preferred.
  • Experience in facilitating training sessions is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Passion for sustainability, community engagement, or social impact is a plus!

Job Description

We are looking for an organized and proactive HR and Training Assistant to support HR Operations and lead awareness training sessions and facility visits. You will play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and delivering impactful workshops focused on waste segregation that promote sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Post job vacancies across platforms and track applications.
  • Coordinate with departments to schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
  • Lead onboarding processes, including preparing orientation materials, conducting orientations, and collecting documentation.
  • Maintain and organize candidate and employee databases.

Employee Engagement & Training

  • Assist in planning and coordinating internal team-building activities, events, and celebrations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training sessions, including the preparation of training materials.

Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain and update employee records in both digital (Drive) and physical formats.
  • Track and manage attendance, leave records, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports and presentations as needed.
  • Handle employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

Policy Support and Research

  • Assist in drafting/updating HR guidelines, manuals, and policies in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Conduct research on emerging HR trends and suggest ways to improve our existing practices.
  • Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Workshops & Facility Visits

1. Lead waste awareness workshops and facility visits for clients, guests, and partners, including:
        - Scheduling and communicating with visitors to arrange workshops and visits.
        - Coordinating with the operations team to prepare the facilities, equipments, refreshments, and                          other logistics for facility visits.
        - Facilitating the workshops and guiding facility visits to ensure an engaging experience.

2. Support the development of materials and presentations that effectively communicate our mission and impact.

3. Maintain records of all workshops and visits to track participation.
