Job Description

Department: Human Resources & Compliance
Reporting To: CFO

Job Purpose

To manage centralized HR operations and ensure all companies under the group comply with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The role focuses on workforce management, policy implementation, employee relations, and statutory/legal compliance across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

1. Centralized HR Management

  • Maintain a centralized HR database for all employees across poultry, piggery, Feed, Agri Business and veterinary medicine divisions.
  • Prepare and manage recruitment plans, job postings, shortlisting, and coordination with department heads for staffing needs.
  • Support onboarding & induction of new employees.
  • Oversee attendance, leave, and payroll records in coordination with accounts/finance.
  • Implement and monitor HR policies, SOPs, and code of conduct consistently across all units.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in performance appraisal system and career development planning.

2. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs in farm operations, sales, and support functions.
  • Arrange skill development, compliance awareness, and safety training.
  • Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.

3. Legal & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Labor Act of Nepal, Social Security Fund (SSF), PF/Gratuity, ESI (if applicable), Bonus Act, and OHS standards.
  • Maintain updated records of employee contracts, renewals, and terminations.
  • Monitor compliance with minimum wage, working hours, and overtime regulations.
  • Coordinate with auditors and authorities for labor inspections, SSF audits, and other statutory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with company registration, PAN/VAT, tax obligations, and other corporate legal requirements in coordination with finance/legal team.

4. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Enforce workplace health and safety policies across farms, warehouses, and offices.
  • Monitor accident/incident reporting and ensure corrective actions.
  • Ensure employees are provided with PPE, insurance, and welfare facilities as per law.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate HR records, compliance registers, and employee files.
  • Submit monthly HR and compliance reports to management.
  • Keep management updated on any changes in labor laws or compliance regulations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • 100% statutory compliance (zero penalties or legal issues).
  • Accurate and updated employee database across companies.
  • On-time payroll and statutory contributions (SSF, tax, gratuity, bonus).
  • Reduced employee grievances and improved retention.
  • Successful labor inspections/audits without major queries.
