Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Hostel Warden to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hostel. The Hostel Warden will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests, as well as ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities:

Welcome guests and provide them with information about the hostel, its facilities, and the surrounding area
Register guests, assign rooms, and issue keys or cards as appropriate
Manage reservations and ensure that all bookings are accurate and up-to-date
Ensure the safety and security of all guests and property, including monitoring the building and grounds, responding to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations
Supervise cleaning and maintenance staff to ensure that all areas of the hostel are kept clean and well-maintained
Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
Address guest complaints and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate records of guest information, incidents, and any other relevant data
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Provide regular reports to management on the performance of the hostel and any issues that arise

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Graduate or Above with Adequate experience in a relevant field
Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Familiarity with hospitality management software and basic computer skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and their application to the hospitality industry
Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
