Herb Nepal is an award winning organic herb farm and learning space, based in Ashapuri, Bhaktapur. Herb Nepal works with small-scale rural farmers to grow organic and sustainable herbal crops which are used in our own soap products.

At the farm we have visitor events and accommodation called The Farm Stays which support the running of the farm.

For the Farm Stays, we are seeking an Assistant Hospitality Manager that can deliver outstanding customer care, motivate and energise a staff team while increasing the revenue potential of the farm stays.

You will be an outstanding team player, able to build respectful relationships with your team mates while working independently using your own initiative.

Excellent Nepali and English language skills (spoken and written) are essential for the role. Interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from around the world is vital.

Job Description

The post holder will be the first point of contact for all guests ensuring they have an unforgettable experience. This job role has full responsibility for organising food, beverages, housekeeping and farm activities as requested by the central booking office. Supervision of the local team will consist of supporting, guiding and training our team members ensuring the customer experience at The Farm Stays remains central to what we do while maximising revenue potential.

Tasks and responsibility include:

Supervising staff (including farm staff)
Preparing visitor information
Forming excellent rapport with guests
Managing budgets
‘Walk the floor’ ensure all guest touch points are well maintained
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to an excellent standard
Undertaking day-to-day centre management and administration
Liaising with local businesses and the media
Developing and creating farm-related activities
To work closely with the senior managers in Herb Nepal
To act as a focal person for visitors to Herb Nepal
To support the sales, production and processing of herbal products
To promote the values of Herb Nepal
To complete other tasks as required by the organisation
