Job Description

  • Develop a clear understanding of the NCHRC’s business objectives and devise and implement operational strategies and activity plans which meet these objectives.
  • Provide operational and managerial support for the smooth operation of the NCHRC services including clinics, inpatients, diagnostics and therapy services.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of NCHRC operational policies, guided by professional and managerial standards.
  • Responsible for managing incidents and complaints for the service with recommendations on organizational learning where appropriate.  
  • Undertake audits on service standards (clinics, wards, housekeeping, security, supplies, repair/maintenance etc) and produce reports with recommended actions as appropriate.
  • Develop expertise and day to day operational knowledge of IT systems and databases used for the NCHRC services.
  • Produce reports and statistics on aspects of patient care, e.g. patient activity, staffing, clinical procedures, as required for the HODs, to demonstrate the effectiveness of service delivery and improvements in those services.
  • Liaise with the HODs (Clinical Services) to report outcomes and performance issues.
  • Contribute to update NCHRC website, leaflets, brochures, information to visitors and patients.
  • Ensure that statutory, mandatory and legal obligations are adhered to, including over-arching responsibility for compliance with national and international standards (ISO) requirements across all NCHRC services.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication both within the services and with stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor staff working for the NCHRC operations team, both as individuals and as team members.
  • Lead and motivate the teams to ensure a high standard of professionalism, efficiency, effectiveness and innovation in the delivery of the patient care.
  • Ensure line managed staff recognize their responsibility for the delivery of NCHRS services.
  • Ensure that service continuity plans are current and robust.
  • Ensure all NCHRC operations are carried on in an appropriate and cost-effective way.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.
  • Support for the NCHRC’s processes to be legally compliant with relevant regulations and rules.
