Roles and responsibilities of this job

Reports to: CEO

Key responsibilities:

Supervises day to day operation of maintenance, and prepare specification for ordering new equipment and spares.
Establishes and ensures the implementation of all maintenance policies. Supervising the department and maintenance contract staff.
Prepares maintenance contract documents for all mechanical, civil, and electrical equipment.
Manages the ordering of spares.
Monitors the standard maintenance provided by specialist contractors and approves claims for payment.
Assists in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
Prepares specifications and drawings for improvement of the hospital, civil, mechanical, and electrical services.
Identifies machine replacements and spare parts.
Monitors the machine's performance and efficiency.
Supervises the maintenance of all electrical plant and hospital equipment.
Represents the department in various hospital committees as and where required.
Prepares and evaluates maintenance tenders/contracts documents and spare parts tenders as stipulated by the administration.
Participates in re-call to work service to attend to emergency breakdown.
Ensures that the overall activities meet the requirements of quality management and environmental policies and legal stipulations.
Recognizes the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
At least 5 years of working experience, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in hospital/larger buildings construction sites.
