Roles and responsibilities of this job

Nobu Studio is looking to hire an independent and skilled Game Developer for a long-term driving simulator/game project. This role can be either full-time or contract-based depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and suitability for the project.

The project involves building a driving simulator with realistic roads, smooth car controls, route-based driving, real-world-inspired routes using map references, and future AI/instructor-style features. The first stage will focus on developing a working prototype, with the goal of expanding it into a larger commercial product.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the driving simulator from prototype to production.
Build realistic vehicle physics, driving mechanics, and smooth user controls.
Design and implement 3D road environments, intersections, traffic signs, lanes, and city-style routes.
Create route-based driving scenarios using real-world map references.
Collaborate with the team to improve gameplay, game design, and user experience.
Optimize the project for future Android and iOS releases.
Develop scalable, maintainable, and well-documented game systems.
Research and implement future AI and instructor-style driving features.
Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve game performance.
Contribute technical ideas and recommend improvements throughout the development process.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience in game development.
Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot
Strong understanding of car physics, vehicle controls, and driving simulator mechanics
Ability to create or work with 3D environments, roads, traffic signs, intersections, lanes, and city-style routes
Ability to build driving routes using map references, road layouts, and real-world surroundings
Experience with mobile game development for Android and iOS is an advantage.
Ability to build clean, scalable, and well-organised projects
An independent, self-driven developer who can take initiative, solve problems, and work with minimal supervision
Ability to understand project requirements, suggest better technical approaches, and manage tasks responsibly
Someone reliable, creative, and interested in contributing to a long-term product
