Job Description

Cedar Gate Services is looking for a Help Desk Engineer to provide rapid and useful technical assistance. 

Job Summary: 

The Help Desk Engineer will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. A competent  Help Desk Engineer must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the  problem and explain its solution. The candidate must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult  users.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to users seeking technical – desktop and application – support 
  • Perform troubleshooting processes and determine the root cause through best practice diagnostic  techniques, available data, research, and customer input 
  • Management of Internet traffic from different ISPs 
  • Research and Implementation of IT security and processes 
  • Develop/update processes & procedures, and communicate technical materials and documentation 
  • Grant least privilege access to resources after formal request from their supervisors 
  • Revoke access for resources as soon as requested 
  • Other duties and projects as requested by Management
