The company has one of the largest capacities for both Large Volume Parenterals (LVP) and Small Volume Parenterals (SVP) in the region. With cutting-edge technology, Everest Parenterals prioritizes quality and efficiency in its production processes.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site senior leadership role for a Head of Procurement at Everest Parenterals Pvt. Ltd. Located in Kathmandu, the Head of Procurement will be responsible for overseeing contract negotiation, procurement strategies, contract management, supply chain management, and project management related to the company's manufacturing operations. The role involves ensuring timely procurement of raw materials and equipment to support production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Leadership:

Formulate and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term goals, establishing measurable KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.

Procurement Process Oversight:

Lead the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring adherence to best practices in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management. Implement tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development:

Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture that encourages professional growth.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance to understand their procurement needs and deliver tailored solutions that support overall supply chain strategy.

Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Market Trend Monitoring:

Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and regulatory changes impacting the pharmaceutical industry. Utilize market intelligence to make informed decisions and proactively mitigate risks.

Sustainability and Compliance Initiatives:

Drive sustainability initiatives within the procurement function and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

High self-awareness and empathy to build rapport and trust with team members and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
Extensive understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and industry regulations.
Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the capability to develop strategic solutions based on data-driven insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong leadership qualities.
