Job Description

Garima Capital Limited is a leading Merchant Banker licensed by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). As part of our continued growth and expansion strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead our Finance and Planning Department for the following position. 

Department: Finance and Planning 
Functional Title: Head of Finance and Planning Department 
Corporate Position: Senior Officer 
Age: Not exceeding 40 years as on 11th May, 2025
Salary and Benefits :  As per the Company's Policy 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to lead the Finance, Planning and Compliance Department. The Head of Finance and Planning Department will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, policy development of the company and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves leading the finance team, optimizing financial performance, and supporting decision-making through data-driven insights. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of financial markets, and a strategic approach to decision-making, and works closely with senior management. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and regulatory requirements. 
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually) for management, the Board, and regulators. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, SEBON regulations, tax codes, accounting standards, internal control,s and reporting requirements. 
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support planning and investment decisions. 
  • Guide and supervise finance staff and ensure continuous capacity development. 
  • Ensure effective cash flow management and investment strategies. 
  • Oversee treasury operations, fund management, and investment planning. 
  • Manage relationships with banks, brokers, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Develop internal controls and risk management strategies. 
  • Support business strategy formulation with financial perspectives. 
  • Manage liquidity, working capital, and treasury functions. 
  • Monitor financial markets and economic trends affecting the organization. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency and efficiency. 
  • Liaise with banks, regulators, investors, and other stakeholders. 
  • Any other work assigned by senior officials.
