Position: Head of Core Network
Department: Technology & Information Technology

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the core network strategy in alignment with Ncell’s technology roadmap and business objectives.
  • Lead network evolution initiatives to adopt emerging technologies that enhance resilience, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Formulate and periodically review Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery strategies for core network functions.
  • Design, plan, and oversee the implementation of network architecture to meet capacity, performance, and service quality goals.
  • Ensure high network availability and stability through proactive monitoring, automation, and preventive maintenance.
  • Oversee partner and vendor relationships, including technical evaluations, contract adherence, and service level performance.
  • Prepare RFPs, lead vendor negotiations, and drive cost efficiency in CAPEX and OPEX management.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with the Commercial, Strategy, and IT functions to forecast capacity needs, support product innovation, and enable business growth.
  • People & Performance Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of network professionals.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and development plans, ensuring capability building and succession readiness.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the Core Network function. 

Required Skills & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • Master’s or professional degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (6 years with postgraduate qualification) in managing packet and circuit-switched core networks and associated systems.
  • Proven managerial experience in leading large, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of IMS, EPC, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and evolving 5G core technologies.
