Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Construction/Project Head to oversee multiple projects including housing colony, commercial building, apartment building, etc. This role requires a seasoned professional with 20-25 years of extensive experience in construction management, particularly in challenging terrains and large structures. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, ability to manage Local and Regulatory Public Relations (PR), and a proven ability to build community relations effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all construction activities

  • Lead the overall planning, coordination, scheduling and execution of the housing development and other construction projects project from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Take critical technical decisions as per site condition and situation
  • Manage relations with all stakeholders including regulators, neighbors, local and regional governmental authorities, etc.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Build and manage a high-performing project team, including contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

3. Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize extensive construction knowledge to address complex technical issues related but not limited to terrain land development, large buildings, buildings in tight spaces, etc.
  • Ensure construction methodologies are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.

4. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and financial liabilities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project integrity.
  • Handle public relations and community engagement initiatives, promoting positive relationships and resolving local issues as they arise.

6. Budget and Cost Control:

  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Evaluate project cost-efficiency and recommend adjustments to optimize financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 20-25 years
  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced
  • degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset for project planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
