Job Description

Our Head Chef will be expected to lead, motivate and supervise the Kitchen team and have full responsibility for food storing, preparation, production, cooking and service to the Restaurant. You must be energetic and enthusiastic with a real passion for cooking

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To organize and provide a high quality of food production and catering services to company and client standards.
  • Demonstrate creativity and ongoing innovation with all aspects of the food and service offering Fine Dining & Events
  • Job Knowledge, technical knowledge, expertise, customer service, administrative and results oriented
  • To ensure the consistent smooth running of food production areas within the Kitchen
  • To ensure effective control of stock purchasing, receipt, storage, preparation and service with regard to quality, quantity and safety.
  • To ensure, that all food production areas are operating to the required standards throughout the designated opening hours.
  • Maintaining a high level of food quality and production with the aim of exceeding our guest’s expectations.
  • To ensuring that the food operations are controlled in a manner which reaches the desired cost of sales and maximizing potential and optimizing resources.
  • Ensuring the security of all foods, chemicals and equipment by maintaining procedures specified
  • To ensure that at all times cleanliness, food safety and all other Health and Safety matters.
  • Complete the staff rotas
  • Menu planning together with creating new dishes
  • To ensure all Training & Development is completed together with health & safety regulations
  • To undertake all other duties as and when directed by the Manager and/or Directors
  • Good team player, hard working and enthusiastic
  • Passionate about food
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Head Chef
  • Experience of working with fresh produce
  • Banqueting experience
  • Menu planning
  • Communicate and work with the Manager to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and to the desired timeframes

Other Requirements:

  • Highly motivated, quality driven and results oriented
  • A good team player with excellent leadership capabilities
  • Outgoing and positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in support role
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
