  • Masters in Engineering Geology
  • At least 3 years of work experience in tunnel construction
  • Strong background in geotechnical analysis, including soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability assessments.
  • Proficiency in geological mapping, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex geological and environmental information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing geological and environmental aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess geological challenges and propose practical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting field investigations, collecting geological samples, and overseeing on-site monitoring activities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals to integrate geological considerations into overall project planning.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and field conditions.

Job Description

  • Conduct geological surveys and site investigations to assess the geological conditions and potential environmental impacts of a construction site.
  • Perform geotechnical analyses to assess soil stability, bearing capacity, and other relevant factors that may impact construction design and foundation engineering.
  • Assess the environmental impact of construction activities on the site, including potential risks to ecosystems, water quality, and other environmental factors.
  • Create detailed geological maps and reports, documenting the site's geological features, soil types, and any geological hazards.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals to integrate geological considerations into the overall project design and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to geological and environmental aspects of construction projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to geological hazards, such as landslides, subsidence, or seismic activity, and develop risk management plans.
  • Oversee on-site monitoring activities to track changes in geological conditions during construction.
