Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Geologist will be responsible for conducting geological investigations, site analysis, and providing technical support for project-related activities in the Kali Gandaki area. The role involves fieldwork, data interpretation, reporting, and coordination with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct geological mapping, field investigations, and site inspections
Analyze rock, soil, and subsurface conditions
Prepare geological reports, logs, and technical documentation
Identify geological risks and recommend mitigation measures
Support drilling, excavation, and foundation works
Coordinate with engineers and project managers
Monitor geological conditions during construction
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology (Master’s Degree preferred)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hydropower, construction, mining, or infrastructure-related projects

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of engineering geology
Experience in geological mapping and site supervision
Ability to interpret geological data and reports
Good report writing and documentation skills
Ability to work in remote project locations
Good communication and teamwork skills

Other Requirements: Willingness to work at the project site, physically fit for fieldwork, and knowledge of local geology will be an advantage.
