Global Action Nepal is dynamic social organization which has been working exclusively in Nepal for more than two decades to help improving the quality of life of marginalized people in Nepal engaging stakeholders meaningfully for quality education, equity, human rights and lifelong learning. GAN is implementing Civil Society Participation in Education (COPE) Project, funded by the European Commission, implement through a consortium led by National Campaign for Education Nepal in partnership with GAN, Nepal Disabled Women Association. The main objective of this project is to unite various stakeholders in addressing issues related to accountability and governance within the education sector. The project is to be implemented in Dhanusha, Siraha and Rautahat districts of Madesh province and Dailekh, Kalikot, Surkhet districts of Karnali province.

Thus, GAN is seeking for pro-active, qualified, self-motivated, dedicated and outcome oriented Project Officer under COPE project.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement the GESI Plan for projects
  • Review and provide input to work plans, technical reports, and other deliverables to ensure GESI integration
  • Design and develop contents on gender sensitization and deliver sessions to different stakeholders.
  • Analyze project results and data to assess impacts on school going children, women and other stakeholders.  
  • Build capacity of project team on GESI-sensitive programming and implementation
  • Ensure the strategies to ensure increase in learning achievement of girls.
  • Prepare and design necessary training on quality education.
