SUSWA is looking for a short term GEDSI consultant to plan the study within the framework / criteria provided by SUSWA Behaviour Change Specialist, as well as to run the study - including recruiting a team or individuals for data collection, training them, analysing the results, and so forth.

Intervention Name: Planning and Implementation study on GEDSI indicators in SUSWA project 
Location: Birendranagar, Surkhet with field travel to the selected working municipalities as required.

Required Qualification and Experiences

  • A master’s degree in social science, behavioral science, gender studies, political science, development studies, or related subjects;
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience working on Gender Equality / Women’s Empowerment, with a track record of research, studies on related subjects;
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting at least three similar studies /surveys of which at least one on GESI including Dignified Menstruation Management (DMM)/ Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and disability based on the use of statistical software, and integrating mobile-based data collection and data analysis tools;
  • Experience in conducting quantitative as well as qualitative surveys in areas of GEDSI, especially in WASH projects;
  • He/she should have proven understanding of the current federal, provincial, and local governance structures and WASH programme policies, strategies, and other thematic areas.
