Front-End Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer to develop high-quality, interactive web applications that power loyalty and incentive platforms. Using technologies such as HTML, CSS, Laravel Blade, JavaScript and frameworks like Vue.js (preferred) and React, you will create engaging user interfaces that align with business objectives to incentivize and retain users. Your role will involve translating complex requirements into seamless, functional digital experiences that drive user engagement and competitiveness within our incentive platforms. 

You will collaborate closely with the Team Lead to plan tasks effectively, while mentoring junior developers, fostering teamwork, and demonstrating adaptability in meeting project goals. Job Duties and Responsibilities 

• Use the latest technologies, including React, Vue.js, Laravel Blade, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, to create user-friendly web pages and applications that drive user engagement and competitiveness. 
• Develop features and improvements for our loyalty and incentive platforms, ensuring solutions are secure, performant, and well-tested. 
• Solve technical challenges of varying scope and complexity, focusing on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. 
• Define, maintain, and improve internal standards for code style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale web environment, and advocate for these standards through code reviews. 
• Collaborate with back-end developers and UI/UX designers to optimize web applications for maximum speed and usability, ensuring seamless user experiences. 
• Take feedback from stakeholders and users to build solutions that meet business objectives and user needs. 
• Lead by example in optimizing front-end architecture and maintaining existing codebases through consistent peer code reviews. 
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, continually researching and introducing relevant tools and best practices. 
• Mentor and support junior developers, promoting a collaborative team environment and sharing knowledge across the team. 
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring compliance with project plans, company standards, and proper use of task management and time-logging tools. 
• Troubleshoot and assist back-end developers in resolving integration and performance issues. 
• Continuously improve and update existing applications, focusing on future-proofing and scalability. 
• Prepare documentation and provide knowledge transfer material to facilitate ongoing project success and team collaboration. 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience 

• Proven work experience (2+ years) as a Front-End Developer with hands-on experience in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js. 
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of semantic web concepts and browser behavior. 
• Experience with Laravel Blade and MVC frameworks, demonstrating familiarity with the full web development process (design, development, deployment). 
• Expertise in version control using Git in a professional environment, and an ability to manage multiple repositories and branches efficiently. 
• Familiarity with REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end components of applications. 
• Proven ability to create DRY and S.O.L.I.D. code, demonstrating a focus on maintainability and scalability. 
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail, especially when troubleshooting and debugging issues. 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems and propose clear, iterative solutions that align with project goals. 
• A positive, solution-oriented mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with iterative development processes. 
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting, mentoring junior developers, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the overall development of the team. 
• Excellent documentation skills, including reporting bugs, preparing test reports, and providing knowledge transfer materials for ongoing project success. 
• Multitasking and time-management skills, capable of performing well in a dynamic environment while managing competing priorities. 
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, or JIRA, ensuring effective collaboration with designers and stakeholders. 

Good to have: 

• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine) to ensure code quality and functionality in a high-scale web environment. 
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in front-end development, keeping the team updated on best practices and innovative tools.
