Responsibilities

Position Summary: Primarily provides services to the guests ensuring efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedbacks and guest satisfaction. Responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests by providing accurate and timely information and service. 

Handles the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and restaurant. Ensures hotel charges are processed diligently to guest's accounts, invoices are accurate, and all payments are received from the guests as per invoices and all bills and payment receipt vouchers are submitted to the accountant for settlements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure outstanding customer care at all times.
  • Review daily front office work and activity.
  • Allocate rooms after checking the guests’ preferences and special requests.
  • Ensure the premises are in operative condition to receive & serve the guests.
  • Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Conduct daily audit of all rooms.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner at all times.
  • Courteously and accurately answer inquiries from potential guests and accepts hotel reservations.
  • Responds to emails, telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.
  • Receive food orders and ensure the delivery of the food timely.
  • Issue bills and handle all cash transactions.
  • Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments especially housekeeping.
  • Maintain cash transactions at the front desk and submit cash to the accountant.
  • Check hotel rooms to ensure that the rooms are neat and clean.
  • Ensure safety by following guest check in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to the manager, or MD.
  • Assist all departments in servicing the guests during high volume periods.
  • Inspect daily for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming & hospitality culture.
  • Ensure all installed equipment (such as TV, air conditioning etc.) and water system are working properly.
  • Arrange repair and maintenance works in timely manner.
  • Arrange pick up and drop off the guests from and to the airport.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by the management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree (BHM preferred)
  • Computer: MS word and excel, good interpersonal and communication skills, dealing and negotiating skills. 
  • Language: Nepali, Hindi and English
