Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and production, to develop new food products conducting research on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive products to identify opportunities for innovation.
Create and test prototypes, experimenting with ingredients, flavors, and processing techniques modifying existing recipes to improve taste, texture, and nutritional content.
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product consistency and safety.
Conduct sensory evaluations and quality tests to monitor product attributes and compliance with specifications.
Investigate and address any quality issues or consumer complaints collaborating with regulatory authorities to ensure products meet all relevant food safety and labeling requirements.
Work closely with the production team to scale up recipes and optimize manufacturing processes providing technical guidance on ingredient sourcing, storage, and handling.
Evaluate and select suppliers for raw materials and ingredients monitoring and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring consistent quality and timely deliveries.
Maintain detailed records of product development, specifications, and quality control data also preparing and submitting required documentation for regulatory approvals and certifications.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and product enhancements.
Train and educate production staff on food safety protocols and quality standards collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve product development goals.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, or Master's degree preferred
3+ years of proven experience as Food Technologist
Knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and food processing techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
