Job Description

  • Oversee the service of food and beverages and maintain overall responsibility for the kitchen, food preparation and beverage service
  • Receive and respond to all customer feedback and complaints including checking customer satisfaction regularly, ensuring all guest feedback is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
  • Take responsibility for stock, including ordering, acceptance, and maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and return of any sub-standard items
  • Report regularly with the management team regarding departmental performance and ensure they are informed of any relevant information or issues
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service
  • Ensure the Company Health, Hygiene & Safety Policies are always met
  • Ensure the restaurant is run smoothly daily & is adequately stocked with all necessary goods
  • Co-ordinate with vendors and maintain a healthy relationship with them
  • Co-ordinate with marketing team to generate new ideas for promotion and events to generate revenue
  • Manage a team of staff, giving full briefings
  • Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines; adjust schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands
  • Report directly to the managing director on a monthly basis and brainstorm new ideas to boost sales
  • Research opportunities for new clients and events.
