Job Description

Department: Front of House (Service Operations)
Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Position Overview

The Floor Supervisor / Captain / Host will be responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth guest flow, staff efficiency, and consistent delivery of Kyampa’s service standards. This position requires a proactive leader who can train, motivate, and guide the service team while maintaining composure in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and motivate front-of-house staff during service.
  • Greet, seat, and engage guests with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
  • Ensure tables are attended promptly and service standards are followed throughout.
  • Manage guest waiting lists, reservations, and seating rotations efficiently.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with grace and diplomacy.
  • Coordinate between kitchen, bar, and service teams for smooth operations.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings to communicate specials, table assignments, and service priorities.
  • Monitor staff grooming, punctuality, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Assist in training new team members in hospitality etiquette and service procedures.
  • Report daily floor performance, feedback, and issues to management.
