Other Specification

Minimum of one year working in the electricity sector
Preference would be given to

Experience of electricity sector functioning under regulated environments and the electricity tariff setting process either in the South Asian region or in other developing countries;
Experience in working with donors, International Financing Institutions, Regulatory Commissions and/or commercial lending institutions;
Experience in hydropower

Fluent knowledge of both the English and Nepali languages, in terms of speaking, reading and writing
Strong communication skills
Advance skill in MS Excel and Financial modelling
Proactive, self-starter willing to take initiative
Ability to team well with others, including with remote team members
Willingness to be flexible and responsive in a dynamic work environment

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Financial Analyst will be to work with the Deloitte team and Nepal Electricity Regulatory Commision in delivering the regulatory activities outlined in the ERC Act 2017 and ERC Regulations, 2018. The Analyst will be expected to assist the team in financial review,tariff assessment, prudence check and due diligence, petitions review, regulatory orders and directives, capacity building etc
