Job Description

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting financial planning, and coordinating with internal departments and branch offices. This role demands a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the organization’s financial transactions using accounting software such as Tally and Excel.
  • Regularly check and respond to finance-related emails and communications.
  • Record and update payment information, including receipts and disbursements, in internal databases.
  • Maintain up-to-date partner payment records and update relevant information as instructed by management or clients.
  • Coordinate with branch offices regarding financial requirements, transactions, and issue resolutions.
  • Conduct monthly audits of branch transactions and follow up on discrepancies to ensure financial integrity.
  • Manage salary reimbursements and ensure accurate payroll entries for both head office and branch staff.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements and support financial forecasting activities.
  • Perform timely bank and cash reconciliations for both head office and branch locations.
  • Review accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Record transactions across branches and verify accuracy before posting.
  • Prepare and file VAT and tax reports, including VAT payable/receivable and party ledgers.
  • Draft formal correspondence to partner institutions or clients when necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with management for approvals and instructions regarding financial matters.
