  • Knowledge of NFRS, Financial Reporting and ability to prepare the periodic Financial Statement 
  • Knowledge of VAT, TDS, other taxes and its statutory requirement (such as payment, filing) is must.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (High proficiency in the use of MS Excel and MS Word).
  • Strong organizational, communication skills & public relationship.
  • Time and priority management ability.
  • Swift and instinctive decision maker.

Academic Qualification:

  • Qualification: CA/Master’s Degree/ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience for Master’s Degree/ Minimum 3 years of experience for Bachelor’s Degree and Semi qualified CA having completion of articleship & awaiting for result can also apply.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Records and Bookkeeping:

  • Timely and accurate maintenance of financial records and bookkeeping.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of daily data entries for the company and its subsidiary companies.

2. Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Regularly report sales, collections, stock data, and other relevant information to respective departments and regional offices.

3. Accounts Management:

  • Handle accounts receivable, payable, and reconciliation.
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger functions.

4. Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure maximum compliance with tax laws, especially with withholding taxes.
  • Take appropriate measures to comply with withholding requirements, submission of VAT returns, and relevant compliances as required in income tax, TDS, VAT, the Customs Act, and other applicable legislation.
  • Prepare standalone/consolidated financial statements in conformity with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards, adhering to specified deadlines.

5. Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and oversee the company's financial plans and budgets in cooperation with respective departments.
  • Conduct in-depth financial data analysis to provide critical insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor outstanding dues and receivables, focusing on their prompt settlement.

6. Cash Flow Management:

  • Effectively manage cash flow through forecasting, continuous monitoring, and optimizing working capital.
  • Deploy sound cash management strategies to maintain the company's liquidity.

7. Financial Operations:

  • Assure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and record-keeping.
  • Oversee daily data entries for the company and its subsidiary companies within the accounting software.
  • Manage financial systems and processes, including accounting software.
  • Daily monitoring of the company's bank balances and regional office transactions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize the utilization of available funds.
  • Continuously monitor stock movements and holdings.

8. Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
  • Set performance goals, expectations, and provide training to staff members.
  • Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits, working closely with auditors.
  • Collaborate with senior management, departments, and regional offices.

9. Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure the company maintains adequate insurance coverage to safeguard its assets.

10. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Regularly oversee and ensure daily data entries for the company and its subsidiaries are completed in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by the relevant authority.
  • Foster a favorable working environment for the entire staff community.
  • Uphold and refine the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all levels.
  • Be responsive to other responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.

11. Budget Planning and Control:

  • Preparation of the budget at different cost centers of the organization and tracking the same.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the concerned authority.

12. Internal Control and Audit:

  • Prepare the internal control matrix of the organization.
  • Coordinate and conduct the internal audit of the organization with external auditors.
  • Coordinate and assist the supervisor and management for effective implementation of internal control.

13. Financial Projections:

  • Prepare financial projections for various projects/plans in coordination with the technical team as assigned by the supervisor.

14. Project/Plan Viability Analysis:

  • Analyze the financial aspects of projects/plans to assess their viability.
  • Provide proper justification for the feasibility and potential profitability of the projects/plans.
